Futures Past - Part 2The Sept of Rivers Might, established twenty six years previously, sat on an island in the midst of the mighty Mississippi. Over the years, rumors had drawn themselves to Gray Cloud island like bees to a flower. Some said that the often mist covered island was haunted, whilst others held that strange satanic rituals were performed within its bounadries. Whatever the flavor of the story, it made the island a place no mild mannered man or woman would visit. None could deny that wolf song was heard frequently on the island, and that those who owned the land discouraged visitors quite firmly. Futures PastThe motorcycle weaved through the backed up traffic on the I94 bridge, followed by the blaring car horns of tired commuters, angry that it was able to speed past them while they had to wait. The rider cared not for their irritation, instead pushing the motercylcle faster. She was not far from home now, barely thirty miles from the Knapp Valley, beyond which lay the farm where she had spent her first sixteen years.   
The motorcycle ate up the miles as though they were not there, and soon bike and rider were passing through the Knapp, the pretty wooded area just west of the turn off for Wolfs Song Farm. The rider slowed down a little Futures Past

A plain, heavy oak desk sat in front of them, free of any clutter or personal items. The chair which sat behind it was a severe affair made of dark brown leather that looked as if it might have contained padding in it at one time, but that the owner had removed it because it was too much of a luxury. 1.One book that changed your life?
I don’t think there is one. Though I am an avid reader, Most of my life changing influences came from movies…in particular, Dead Poets society. I suppose I could say that the Bible caused me to rethink my entire religious view…but not in the way you think. Reading the bible made me rethink my whole religious view, and convinced me that I no longer wanted to be a catholic.

2. One book you have read more than once?
So many…I would have to go with a series that I have read multiple times, and that would be the Belgariad, by David Eddings.

3. One book you would want on a deserted island?
Nightfall – Issacc Asimov. It’s the only Asimov book I’ve ever really enjoyed, and a great read.

4. One book that made you laugh?
Anything written by Terry Pratchette is good for that. Let’s go with…Guards Guards.

5. One book that made you cry.
Have to go with a play here, and I know it’s cheesy, but I always cry when I read the final couple of scenes in Romeo and Juliet.

6. One book you wish you had written?
Interview With The Vampire. – It’s hard to write any Vampire fiction these days without having some comparison drawn.

7. One book you wish had never been written?
The last handful of Anita Blake books. More plot, less porn please Ms. Hamilton!!!

8. One book you are currently reading?
Polgara – David Eddings. I’ve read it several times, but I always come back to it again.

9. One book you have been meaning to read?
I will eventually read The Return Of The King. I’ve read The Fellowship 8 times, and tried to read the Two Towers 7 (I managed to get all the way through on attempt 8) but I’ve never been able to get through the first few pages of the last book.

10. One book that was difficult to read?

11. Favorite childhood book?
Tim and the Hidden People. I tried to steal all these books from school when I was a kid. My mom found them and returned them all. Bitch!

12. Popular book you have no desire to ever read?
I’ll give anything a try, though I’ve given up on Anita Blake. I like plot with my porn thank you. Yes I read Playboy for the articals!!!
